Learn 2 Lead Trips

Year 9 – Jerusalem

A Different Kind of Trip, For People Who Want to Make a Difference. Tribe's All New Year 9 Social Action Trip

This 7 day journey begins with an emphasis on social action and volunteering across various organisations in Israel. This will be followed by a Jerusalem symposium that brings the sites, atmosphere and relevance of Jerusalem to life in a very dynamic way.

The programme includes volunteering with charities that focus on those in less fortunate circumstances and those suffering from ill health. In addition we will be visiting places that teach us the history of ancient Jerusalem, then making our way through Yad Vashem and the holocaust, arriving in modern day Jerusalem, which includes spending a spectacular Shabbat together in the magical city.

This powerful experience is all about our heritage, our synagogue communities in London, our social responsibility and establishing new friendships.

Year 12 – Poland

Remembering the past to build the future.

During the Tribe trip to Poland, our group will visit significant sites that highlight the 1,000+ years of vibrant Jewish life in Poland before WWII as well as the Holocaust itself, the darkest period of our history.

The group will be travelling through towns which were dynamic Jewish communities before the Holocaust, starting in Warsaw and journeying on to Lodz and Lublin. We will visit the death camp at Majdanek and the grave of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk. Our journey will continue to Krakow, spending a moving Shabbat in Krakow’s old Jewish quarter before visiting Auschwitz/Birkenau.

It is a journey of self-discovery with an emphasis on the role we each play in our community and the Jewish nation. Past participants have said this it is an unforgettable experience.
