Hampstead Synagogue is a vibrant place with great potential for its youth. The community is warm and welcoming, benefiting from a friendly and informal atmosphere that embraces communal diversity.
We seek to recruit a Youth Director with real passion for working with Jewish youth (ages 11-18), able to provide informal educational and social activities, building their Jewish skills and knowledge.
The successful candidates will be required to participate on one Shabbat per month during term time and on some festivals, together with facilitating weekday youth activities once or twice per term including weekend preparation.
You will need to be charismatic and enthusiastic and have an excellent track record in youth leadership and a desire to promote modern authentic Judaism to all our youth.
Applicants should have initiative and good communication skills, and the ability to organise and administer events and programmes independently and as part of a team.
