Hours: Full-time

Willesden Jewish Cemetery is owned and run by the United Synagogue, the UK’s largest synagogue body. Willesden Cemetery is London’s pre-eminent Victorian Jewish cemetery, the only Jewish cemetery in England to be registered as of Special Historic Interest. It has hundreds of memorials to some of the most notable individuals from the community’s history as well as graves of many thousands of ordinary people.

We seek to recruit a highly-motivated, substantially experienced and skilled stonemason to carry out a programme of masonry conservation and repairs to memorials, monuments and historic buildings within the cemetery. You must possess considerable initiative and good communication skills, as well as the ability to demonstrate good administrative and organisational skills, so you can plan and implementing conservation repairs to a high standard.

The stonemason will work closely with the cemetery’s dedicated grounds maintenance team. The role is part funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Interviews will take place between 10-14 September 2020
