Barnet Synagogue is a warm and welcoming traditional orthodox community in North London of over 1000 people, within its own eruv.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to head up a new project to engage, inspire and enthuse our members. You will work across the community, inspiring them to participate in a variety of generated experiences centred on Shabbat so that they continue beyond the project’s life.

The position requires a modern approach to leadership and your abilities and personal attributes are as important to us as formal qualifications.

You will possess strong social and personal qualities, with the ability to provide professional support to lay-leaders and the community. Of course, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.

You should have a good knowledge of Jewish customs and practices and should be able to connect with the diversity of observance within our community.
