Mid-week & Shabbat Youth Director - Woodside Park United Synagogue
Jobs Closing Date:
Wednesday 5th October 2022

Salary: £20 per hour

Hours: ‘As and When’ hours

Set in the leafy suburbs of Jewish North London, within our own Eruv, close to Jewish schools, restaurants, bakeries and kosher shops, Woodside Park is a popular community for young Jewish families to settle. As the Youth and Young Families of our community continue to grow in number, the range of activities on offer to them continues to grow too. Today, there is a vibrant mix of Shabbat services, educational programmes, youth clubs, social events, young families’ activities, a parent and toddler group, a day nursery, a cheder and much more - all supported by an army of youth leaders, parent volunteers and our dedicated Youth Directors.

As we adjust to the new normal post-Covid the Woodside Park Community is now seeking new Youth Directors to focus on delivery of our exciting, newly revamped Bar and Bat Mitzvah program as well as to assist with Shabbat activities for youth.

We are open to candidates that can undertake individual roles (on Shabbat or Mid-week) or both roles combined. These part time roles will be ideal for Students and/or those working in either formal or informal education. In return for your commitment, you will be paid a competitive hourly rate for each session delivered for Youth and agreed preparation time.

The United Synagogue is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children. Successful applicants will be required to provide a self-disclosure once shortlisted and subject to an enhanced DBS check within the recruitment process.

To find out more about this exciting new role please contact Jo Diamond @ youthappointment@woodsidepark.org.uk for an informal conversation or apply online.
