Starting salary: £45 per morning

Edgware United Synagogue seeks a dynamic and imaginative Teaching Assistant to commence in September who can support the Community Rabbi or his deputy, with the delivery of an inspirational and motivational Cheder programme for the children of “ACE” in our Sunday morning Cheder for pre-Bar and Bat Mitzvah children.

The successful candidate will have teaching and youth work experience and will be required to support the learning of a varied group with different abilities in formal and informal learning.  Experience of working with children who have Special Needs would also be an advantage.  The role will also include some administrative support.

Please note this is an ad hoc position and employees will only be paid as and when they work.  They will not be required on trips or days when additional help is not needed.  We envisage that we will only be needing the Teaching Assistant for around 16 weeks during the forthcoming Cheder year.
