As & When, during Term Time

Approximately 3 hours a session, usually working on Sunday mornings and/or mid-week

£25 per hour

We are looking to create a pool of staff of capable and enthusiastic Cheder Support Teachers who can respond to the needs of any Cheder at short notice and provide help when they are short staffed. You will need a good level of Jewish knowledge as well as relevant teaching or youth work experience.

The ability to work effectively with children of the relevant ages is essential, as well as empathy, confidence, flexibility, diligence, whilst maintaining a high level of personal integrity and above all, a sense of fun.

The key responsibilities will be:

  • To attend a Cheder at short notice and fill in teaching a class, according to instructions from the Head Teacher as and when needed
  • To educate the class in a way that offers an enlightening, enjoyable and stimulating experience within a safe environment
  • To inspire and motivate the pupils by providing creative, dynamic, and high-quality lessons according to our curriculum
  • To brief the Head Teacher at the end of your working session
