On Sunday 22th May Year 6 pupils embarked on Jewish Heritage discovery trip to the Jewish Museum.

The first event was a powerful presentation, in the Education Auditorium. The students explored how many items in the museum tell  a personal story of Jewish triumph from a different era  and sometimes from a different continent.  The students were then challenged to find and answer questions about different items around the museum collection. They spread out in small groups in the museum to begin their quest.

The trip was run in conjunction with the launch of their Jewish Heritage project. Over the course of the next few weeks, students will engage in their own research as they explore their own histories. They will research a family owned item or a piece of Judaica and tell the story of how this item came into their family and is meaningful to them today.

The trip was a joint Cheder inventive and the children enjoyed meeting and mingling with students from other Chedarim.
