This week Tribe welcomed back over 50 participants from their successful Winter Warmer camp for pupils in Years 7 and 8 as well as Tribe Winter Retreat for those in Year 12.

Participants on the Winter Warmer enjoyed an amazing four days with several activities from energetic rock-climbing to the more relaxed murder mystery and supper quiz. In between there was also time for socialising with their peers and make new friends.

During the Winter Retreat, Year 12 students took part in Tribe Leadership Camp (TLC), where they attended great interactive sessions on how to be great leaders and how to enthuse participants. They then had the opportunity to put the theory into practice as they developed and delivered a session for the Winter Warmer. They also enjoyed lots of activities such as ice-skating and battling an escape room.

Each night there was a communal Chanukah candle lighting for all participants.

David Collins, US Director of Young People and Young Families, commented: “It’s wonderful to see Tribe build on the success of last year’s inaugural winter camp programmes. I’m delighted that our Winter Warmer camps have engaged and inspired young people from our communities and are just one part of our work to educate and create future leaders of UK Jewry”.
