Following Tribe’s spectacular summer programmes, Tribe held a Volunteer Thank You Evening last week for 50 of their volunteers to say a huge thank you for all their hard work to make the Tribe programmes throughout the summer engaging, fun and vibrant.

Guest speaker Leonie Lewis, United Synagogue Vice President and Director of JVN of course herself no stranger to volunteering, spoke about her own experiences and presented the awards.

There were two special awards for the best newcomer and volunteer of the summer. These were presented to Jess Ginsburg and Brooke Gross respectively to show appreciation for their outstanding efforts over the summer. Each and every volunteer received a certificate of appreciation.

Tribe summer included a wide range of programmes from Israel tour and days out to residential camps for many different ages. During the thank you dinner, one volunteer from each camp or programme spoke passionately about their experiences.

Volunteer Miri Fraenkel commented: “It was such a lovely evening. Although we are all happy to give our time and really enjoy working with Tribe and their members, it’s really nice to feel appreciated and that all our hard work hasn’t been overlooked.”

David Collins, Tribe Executive Director added: “Tribe’s packed summer would not have been possible without our volunteers. They work so hard and ensure that we have fantastic programmes. This was just a small way of saying a big thank you to them. We look forward to their continuing involvement over the coming year.”
