Last Sunday Tribe ran an exciting inter-Cheder Year 6 trip to the Jewish Museum.

The pupils enjoyed a custom made workshop with Judith Vandevelde about the history of two spice boxes. The pupils were then given a scavenger hunt around the museum where they had to find answers to various questions on different topics. Finally the session ended with the launch of ‘a piece of my history project’ where pupils will be researching a piece of Judaica from their own family over the next few weeks to present within their Cheder classes.

Gila Gluck from HGSS Aleph Learning Centre commented how engaged the pupils were and how the workshop highlighted that these Judaic objects are not only part of our history but also a part of our future too.

Nadia Frankel from South Hampstead Cheder added: "It was a great opportunity for the pupils to learn in a hands on way, it showed them that Judaism isn't just a static, ancient religion- its alive, rich and full of meaning".
