As the Jewish schools get back to work after the festivals, Tribe was celebrating another successful year of its ‘Tishrei’s Got Talent’ competition.

This year, Tishrei’s Got Talent which is an educational, fun and interactive annual programme for children in Key stage 2 returned to a range of local primary schools. The programme is based on the Jewish Studies curriculum and aims to reinforce what has been taught in schools from the start of the academic year.

The quiz was run in several Jewish schools including Kerem, Sinai, Wohl Ilford Jewish Primary and Wolfson Hillel primary schools. Pupils were asked to complete a series of festival-related activities such as ‘Pin the Etrog on the Lulav’, a succot puzzle and who can blow the shofar for the longest time.

Sharon Radley, Tribe’s Head of Education, said: “At Tribe we are working to build and strengthen the inspiration that the children have from their Jewish Studies lessons and enthuse them further through informal education programmes like Tishrei’s Got Talent. The response to this programme has been wonderful and I’m glad that we can engage with so many of our members in a fun and relaxed environment. We are looking forward now to Chanukah!”
