Part-Time Youth Worker
£15 per hour depending on experience
6 hours a week
Watford & District Synagogue is an established United Synagogue community outside London with over 300 members and 50 children.
We are seeking a part time Madrich or Madricha to provide a range of religious, cultural and social activities for the youth of our Synagogue, with the focus of their work on the 8 -16 year old age group (School years Y3-Y11). This will include organising youth services on Shabbatot and Festivals, parties on Festivals, and other social events throughout the year.
Applicants should have some experience in youth leadership, including working successfully with religious, non-religious, committed, and non-committed youth.
Applicants should also have excellent communication skills, good organisational and administrative skills, the ability to use their own initiative, as well as a desire to promote modern Judaism to all youth.
