Full-time, 3 years Fixed Term 

£36,000 per annum

 The United Synagogue is embarking on a once-in-a-generation project to open its historic Willesden Cemetery as a heritage site for the public, thanks to a Round 2 Heritage Grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). 

The Programme Manager will deliver activities, interpretation and public engagement for audiences from a wide range of backgrounds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and carrying out all aspects of the Activity and Interpretation plans including learning, volunteering, training, events, exhibitions, community outreach and interpretation.

As Programme Manager you will work to create a great visitor welcome, develop audiences and partnerships, engage communities and raise profile.

Working with a small team of staff and consultants, you will manage volunteer teams; coordinate interpretive content and media; manage collections; stage events, exhibitions and walks; oversee marketing and evaluation.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of project management, preferably in heritage or culture; and a track record of delivering interpretation and formal learning, working with diverse community groups.
