Tribe Community Membership (TCM) is the fantastic new membership scheme for singles aged 21-30 from Tribe. For just £5 a month TCM makes you part of your local community by giving you full membership of your local United Synagogue. (At last you can eat as much of the Kiddush as you like without feeling guilty!) Plus, you’ll get a TCM card that will give you great deals on a whole host of services.

If you fit the description below you are just a click away from being a TCM member

What happens to existing Tribe members?
TCM is Tribe’s highest level of membership. If you’re already a Tribe member we’ll send you a new blue TCM membership card which replaces the black one you have now. Your blue TCM card entitles you to all the usual Tribe benefits plus a whole load of new ones.

What TCM benefits are there?
As well as regular Tribe membership benefits, TCM card-holders get a whole load more. You become a full member of your local shul (including burial), you get a special joining gift and you receive a number of great lifestyle benefits:

Discount on private health cover with BUPA
25% off when joining the RAC
Free membership and delivery (worth over £20) to Le Chai Kosher Wines
25% off subscriptions of The Jewish Chronicle (saving 15%)
Special TCM rates at Tribe events
With new deals being added all the time.

Plus, of course, joining your local shul will probably make your parents happy. (Who knows they may even be persuaded to pay for it?!)

How do I join TCM?
We’ve tried to make joining TCM as easy as possible. The application process is online with payment taken online too during the application process, so there’s no messing about with cheques, envelopes and stamps or visits to shul offices.
As TCM includes membership of the United Synagogue, you'll be asked for a few details and to confirm that you're Jewish. (This just means telling us things like where and when your parents were married, or in rare cases supplying us with documentation like a Ketubah.)
Your membership will be processed within 28 days, (unless additional documentation is needed).

Which shuls can I join?
All United Synagogue member shuls are part of the TCM scheme. You can see the full list by clicking on the Tribe Community shul button above. And if there’s no shul in your local area, you can still join ‘Tribe Central’ which gives you all the TCM benefits as well as membership of the United Synagogue.

What happens if I’m already a member of one of these shuls?
If you are eligible for TCM and already a member of one of these shuls, then you have the choice of continuing as you are or transferring from your regular membership to TCM at the end of your current year’s membership. If during this time you want to attend any Tribe events, you can do so at the discounted TCM rate – just let us know.

What happens once I join?
Once your TCM application is accepted, we’ll send you a TCM Welcome Pack complete with TCM Membership Card, full member benefit details and your free TCM gift.

Is there a catch?
We don’t think so. At £60 a year we think you could probably save as much just from using your member benefits.
