This summer, Tribe will be offering 20 participants the opportunity to take part in the Ghana Summer Experience; a life-changing visit to Tamale, in Northern Ghana.

The ten-day Volunteering & leadership Experience, run by Tribe in conjunction with Tzedek, will offer an amazing opportunity for a small but dedicated group (up to 20 young people) to experience and contribute to Ghana. For ten days, participants will be working in a rural community, together with local disadvantaged young people, to run a summer camp for primary school aged kids.

Before participants head to Ghana in August, they will have several training sessions over the course of the year to prepare them for life in Africa.

Sam Cohen, Tribe Fieldworker, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to put a smile on the faces of disadvantaged children in Ghana. This initiative highlights Tribe’s strong emphasis on volunteering and the importance of our members contributing to society outside our own communities. Participants will be part of something new, inspiring and life-changing. We have already been inundated with applications and know that this trip is going to be a huge success.”

In the year running up to the programme, participants fund-raise to pay for their trip. Deadline for applications is 21st October.
