ACTION-PACKED WEEKEND WOWS TRIBE TEENS

Over 180 teen members of Tribe have just returned from an action-packed weekend away at the Kingswood Grosvenor Hall activity centre. As well as experiencing a special Shabbat programme, participants took part in a fun-filled three days of learning, activities and entertainment.

The weekend was a chance for youth from all of the US communities to join together for one brilliant experience. Teens from synagogues as far apart as Ilford, Shenley and Glasgow all travelled to take part in the programme.

As the weekend was part of the Tribe Challenge programme, the itinerary included many programmes led by United Synagogue youth directors. There were opportunities to learn about Shabbat, enjoy Shabbat prayer and take part in a dinner with lots of singing, dancing and food.

After Shabbat finished the teens enjoyed a 'Shaken Not Stirred' evening with flare barmen, popcorn, candy floss and casino tables. On the Sunday thrilling Kingswood activities including abseiling, zip lining, wall climbing quad biking and laser tag were enjoyed by all.

Josh Kleiman, Tribe Projects Coordinator said, "The event was a roaring success. We're so happy to see all the communities coming together under one banner. We've started planning and looking forward to next year already".

Rabbi Shaw, Tribe's Executive Director said, "The weekend has been fantastic. To see Tribe's growth and success in such a short time is quite remarkable and as always we look forward to our events becoming even bigger and more successful in the future".
