Tribe went to Poland again

A group of 42 went on Tribe's second moving trip to Poland for Years 12 and 13 from 28th October to 1st November 2009. The group was led by Tribe's Executive Director, Rabbi Andrew Shaw and spent five 'moving and inspirational days' touring the Jewish and historical sites across the country.They went on a journey of rememberance and saw for themselves the horrors of the Holocaust. They learnt about the strength of the Jewish people creating a Jewish homeland out of the ashes of the Holocaust.

Avi Friedmann, trip coordinator and Tribe Teens Executive, commented: "This trip has been a moving and inspirational affirmation of our survival. It was powerful to see how moved the participants were by what they saw and I'm proud of the way they walked defiantly out of Auschwitz, singing the songs from our heritage and wrapped in Israeli flags."

Gemma Ginsberg, participant on the Poland trip, said: "The Tribe Poland trip was at times an emotional rollercoaster yet the group left thoroughly uplifted. It was an eye opening, life changing experience, making me prouder than ever to be Jewish. Thanks to an amazing team of Tribe staff who provided me with an unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever."
