Tribe Football Frenzy!

On 28 June, over 200 participants took part in the 7th annual Tribe Football Frenzy at Barnet Powerleague. A record 35 teams from 18 United Synagogue communities came together to compete for the coveted Tribe Football Frenzy Shield.

Cockfosters & N Southgate Tribe won the Junior boys (school years 7 & 8) tournament taking home the Tribe Shield that was presented by Tribe Executive Director, Rabbi Andrew Shaw with the Chigwell & Hainault Tribe Team being the runners up and Stanmore winning the girls tournament.

Hamstead Garden Suburb were the winning boys senior team (school years, 9,10,11) taking home the title after a tense final against Edgware
Team managers Tamar & Rafi Younger said: "We're so proud of our winning team! Hampstead Garden Suburb has always been great at football and we're glad to take the trophy home this year. Thanks so much to Tribe for organising another brilliant football frenzy -- we are excited to come back next year to retain our title".

The manager of Cockfosters and N Southgate winning team and Community Director Simon Hamilton said: "CNSS Tribe is absolutely thriving at the moment with regular Youth Services complimented by events ranging from paintballing to youth room painting and pool parties to charity car washing, and winning the cup just proves that we are the place to be. A huge thank-you to Tribe for all their support!'

Tribe Teens Executive, Avi Friedmann commented: "The Tribe Football Frenzy was a great day for everyone who took part. It is days like these with so many Tribe members attending that shows the United Synagogue has a great future ahead and even a couple of decent strikers."
